I have reduced the price of this painting due to the effect of Corona Virus on the world economy and my income.  I am hoping it helps some buyers to beautify their homes in this current situation and be able to support a sole trader - artist (that's me), at the same time.

This large painting allows you to come in close and experience the joy of colours inspired by aquatic, molecular and microscopic life. The shapes and their arrangement are intended to form gentle colour vibrations to create enjoyment and peaceful feelings in the viewer. 

I loved using this colour palette. The soft pastel blues and fluffy whites create a floaty, cloud like feeling that works perfectly with the mustard yellow and the sharp contrast of the charcoal greys and deep blues. There is a lovely subtle texture across the surface that gives the painting a 3-dimensional feel and adds to the soft dreamy effect.

The big. The tiny. The sea. The molecules. The microscopic. These things I think about and look at when I create these paintings. They can be viewed as miniscule cell life just as easily as floating jelly-fish swarms or an underwater garden with bioluminescent organisms and sea anemones blooms.

This painting belongs to my 'Aquatic' Series. It is representative of my exploration into the microscopic minutiae of life with all its order & chaos. I delve into the beautiful parallels of art with science that I have bound with my love of floaty effervescent underwater life and natural themes. All the stuff that is so very real but cannot be seen with our normal everyday eyesight.

The circular organic motifs allude to cellular life forms, dainty aquatic-life and in the arrangement, the pulsating rhythmic patterns of universal forms that so often stop us in our tracks in awe of their magnificence. I wanted the painting to be sublime and beautiful yet also have feelings of fragility.

”I feel like I am gently floating like jelly-fish” is a lovely comment I so often receive from this series.

What I enjoy most about my paintings is they make people smile with a sense of wonderment and feelings of happiness as well as giving their walls a splash of colour and joy for years to come.
