The Bioluminous Tideline Drift series is inspired by the quiet glow of bioluminescent algae and the hidden rhythms of microscopic sea-life and transient energy of the ocean.

Inspired by glowing microscopic life and the calm and otherworldliness of drifting under the sea. Layers of ultramarine, dark blue, aqua and white shift gently across the surface, evoking the fluid beauty of life beneath the waves and capturing the feeling of being immersed in underwater light.

The circular, organic forms allude to cellular structures, bioluminescent organisms, and delicate underwater worlds as a poetic meeting of art and science. Viewers often describe a sense of peaceful weightlessness, as though floating around a coral reef.

A celebration of the ocean’s vitality, vulnerability and quiet wonder.

What I enjoy most about my paintings is the connections people make the them.
