A one-of-a-kind large-scale painting from my ‘Bioluminous’ and ‘Aquatic’ series, Bioluminescent Flurry draws you into the mysterious shimmer of oceanic light and life. Awash in luminous blues, teals, and sea greens, this artwork evokes the mesmerising play of light on water—bokeh glimmers, underwater pulses, and the quiet power of the sea both above and below the surface.

Infused with my long-held fascination for bioluminescence, sea storms, and the parallels between art and science, this piece invites both close inspection and expansive reflection. From microscopic cellular structures to vast oceanic moods, it offers a poetic lens into the unseen and deeply felt.

For the past three years, this painting lived in the Brighton office of Independent MP Zoe Daniel—bringing colour and energy to a space devoted to progressive leadership and community care. Zoe’s integrity and compassion echo the values that underpin my practice, and I’m honoured that Bioluminescent Flurry contributed to that meaningful environment.
