This is an original, one off, large abstract painting on linen ready to hang on your beautiful wall.

This large painting allows you to come in close and experience the joy of colours inspired by aquatic, molecular and microscopic life. The shapes and their arrangement are intended to form colour vibrations to create enjoyment and delight in the viewer.

This is another painting belonging to my series exploring aquatic themes and the microscopic minutiae of life. There is the illusion here of viewing an underwater seascape, looking through deep water and seeing light and dark shadows and rock and reef formations. The organic circular shapes in the design suggest sea-creatures and cellular life forms and make reference to the otherworldliness of the building blocks of life. I wanted the painting to trigger feelings of joy and be uplifting and also have feelings of calmness and contemplation.

I loved using this colour palette. The jewel like ultra-marine blues, aquas and teal hues, with the sharp contrast of the pale blue whites and blue-black working together to create the wonderful other-worldliness of the waters of life and our oceans.

”I feel like I am gently floating like jelly-fish” is a lovely comment I so often receive from this series.

What I enjoy most about my paintings is they make people smile with a sense of wonderment and feelings of happiness as well as giving their walls a splash of colour and talking point for years to come.
