‘Bioluminous Tideline Swell’ is inspired by the quiet glow of bioluminescent algae and the hidden rhythms of microscopic sea-life and transient energy of the ocean.

Luminous layers of aqua, ultramarine and turquoise move across the surface, softened by subtle glimpses pinks and yellow beneath the surface, like light filtering through living water. Organic, drifting forms suggest plankton, cellular structures and underwater blooms, suspended between motion and stillness.

This work explores the space where chaos settles into calm. Where tiny particles float, gather and find harmony beneath the surface of the sea.

Built through layered acrylic polymer paint, the painting has a gentle textural depth that reveals itself over time and invites closer viewing.

Part of my Aquatic Series, this piece reflects my ongoing exploration of the connection between art, science and the unseen beauty of microscopic worlds.

This painting can be safely shipped off the stretcher bars and frame and rolled in a tube for international collectors for approximately half the shipping price listed, a big saving for you and it is also safer for the artwork. But this painting will need re-stretching at your end.

Your local picture framers are able to re-stretch the canvas for a reasonable fee.
